The Personal Barber is the curated shaving subscription that wants to turn your daily chore into a satisfying experience to look forward to.
We passionately believe that making the switch to a single-blade razor will change your whole outlook on shaving. Pre-shave box – Post-shave box – Extra-care box
Our latest kit in the Discovery Box subscription is the “Pre-Shave Box” which will be going out to renewing subscribers between May 16th – June 30th. With this kit we usually feature a product that’s applied before your shave begins, such as a pre-shave oil, designed to prep your beard before you slap a lather on and start shaving. We also include a face wash or scrub to cleanse your skin and hairs ready for a close shave.

We also have a smaller sized box, called the Essentials box, that features just the latest picked shaving soap/cream and a restock of 10 DE razor blades. This is for members that want to try new soaps and creams but would rather pick their own extra products. You can add any additional items to your Essentials Box without incurring extra postage fees.

Astra Superior Platinum and Gillette Nacet Double-Edge Razor Blades
The Astra Superior Platinums are a favourite amongst wet shavers. Known colloquially as the Astra “Greens”, they are a medium sharpness blade with a platinum coating for added longevity. They give a smooth and comfortable shave for most beard types. Lasts 3-7 shaves per blade.
As you can see, the Gillette Nacets are sharp enough to cut through a crocodile! Known to be a relatively sharp blade with minimal coating. It is ideal for thicker hairs, gives a very smooth finish and has great longevity. Expect between 3-7 shaves per blade with most people getting around 5 shaves before noticing a drop in effectiveness.
