What is The Personal Barber Shaving Club?
The Personal Barber is the curated men's shaving subscription that wants to turn your daily chore into a satisfying ritual to look forward to.
We passionately believe that making the switch to a single-blade razor will change your whole outlook on shaving. Not only is it kinder on your skin so you can achieve a close shave without razor burn or rash, but there’s something very satisfying about using a single-blade that just isn’t felt from a modern, plastic, multi-blade razor.
That’s why we created our shaving club where you’ll be learning the art of the classic wet shave whilst getting to try a range of fantastic products to bring life to your morning routine. Every 6 weeks, we curate a selection of only the finest wet shaving gear from all over the world, introducing you to the lesser known brands and small businesses that you don’t see in the supermarkets.

Pre-shave box – Post-shave box – Extra-care box
Our latest kit is the “Extra-care box” which will be going out to renewing Discovery* box subscribers between October 1st – November 15th. With this kit we usually feature products that aren’t usually associated with shaving but provide the extra piece of the male grooming puzzle such as a top quality moisturiser or something more unique such as a shaving towel or alum block.
We also have a smaller sized box, called the Essentials* box, that features just the latest picked shaving soap/cream and a restock of 10 DE razor blades. This is for members that want to try new soaps and creams but would rather pick their own extra products. You can add any additional items to your Essentials Box without incurring extra postage fees.
*We have recently been trialing a new way of presenting the subscription as just one box with two tiers, called simply the Shaving Club and the Complete Experience Add-on. These are equivalent to the Essentials and Discovery boxes, but with a different name.

The Personal Barber Allhallowtide Shaving Soap RRP £9.95
We’re very excited to unveil this brand new shaving soap, made in collaboration with the fantastic artisan soap maker Twa Burds Soaps, based in Glasgow. Twa Burds Soaps specialises in handmade skincare products using natural ingredients without added parabens or unnecessary preservatives.
The soap has a vegetable glycerine base making it suitable for all skin types but also makes it very easy to create a lather out of. In seconds you’ll have a dense, cushioning lather that allows for an effortlessly comfortable shave. The choice of ingredients moisturise the skin, leaving a silky smooth post-shave feel.
We wanted to create something seasonal for the latest soap and took inspiration from the unique holidays of Halloween and Bonfire Night.
The Allhallowtide fragrance is a sweet, musky scent inspired by these late months. Expect hints of warm pumpkin with a touch of sweet spice making it the perfect aroma for Autumn!
The scent of shaving soaps and creams are designed to be enjoyed only during your shave. It’s a rinse-off product so the scent doesn’t linger long and therefore won’t interfere with your choice of aftershave.
To use: Work the top of the shaving soap with a slightly damp brush until it’s fully loaded (10 seconds) and then start building your lather as normal either in a bowl, your hand or directly on your face. If it seems paste-like, keep adding drops of water until the desired consistency is acquired. You want to aim for a shiny meringue consistency.
Symbiosis London Daily Shield Mattifying Moisturiser RRP £97
Symbiosis London are a luxury British skincare brand with a focus on designing innovative products that combine only effective, clinically-proven actives and clean, unique formulas to help your skin restore, repair and rejuvenate.
We’re excited to be featuring their Daily Shield Mattifying Moisturiser which aims to offer triple skin protection with a shine free finish. The light-weight fast absorbing formula works to protect the skin from harmful UVA & UVB rays to help reduce signs of premature ageing and deliver a vital blend of moisturising agents.
Hyaluronic Acid penetrates deep into the skin, working to hydrate and instantly help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. Rich in antioxidants, Tocopherol works as an emollient to keep your skin looking young and supple. It also aims to tighten the skin and lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Avocado oil aims to hydrate and soften your skin while, with its humectant properties, contributing to moisture retention.
To use: Apply morning and night to freshly cleansed skin. When using after shaving, apply after your post-shave balm has had time to sink in.

Percy Nobleman Age Defence Serum RRP £14
Percy Nobleman is a British male grooming brand that was originally started in 2012 as a way to reinvent the wheel of what it meant to be a well-groomed 21st-century modern gentleman whilst still embracing a times gone by British aesthetic. Now known worldwide for their iconic comic book series, The Adventures Of Percy Nobleman, that was the world’s first Instagram comic book series. Their products are made in England and never tested on animals.
We featured their Age Defence Moisturiser earlier in the year to rave reviews so we’re excited to now be featuring their Age Defence Serum, as it’s the first time we’ve included a serum in the subscription.
It’s an oil-control, vitamin-rich formula designed to help tackle signs of ageing while keeping your skin hydrated and youthful.
How does it work? Unlike a moisturiser, which is typically designed to fortify the top layer of your skin to lock in hydration and keep your skin soft and supple, a serum is designed to penetrate deeply into your skin’s lower layers to deliver targeted ingredients.
In short, it hydrates the lower levels of your skin that your moisturiser can’t reach, making them perfect to use together in your routine. After a couple of weeks of using the serum, we were so impressed by the results that we couldn’t wait to get it featured in the box.
Featuring hyaluronic acid, an ultra-hydrating and anti-ageing ingredient which helps to draw in and retain vital skin moisture due to its ability to hold over 1000 times its weight in water.
Also featuring vegan collagen which enhances the skin’s texture and appearance through its moisturising and conditioning properties.
Lastly, Zinc PPCA helps to regulate oil and control potential outbreaks.
To use: Apply a few drops into your skin once a day after cleansing or after a shave, then follow up with a moisturiser to lock in hydration. If using a post-shave balm in your routine, apply the serum before the balm and remember less is more.

Dorco Titan Replacement Double-Edge Razor Blades
For our latest kit we're featuring a 10-pack of blades rather than the usual 2 packs of 5. This is because there are lots of great razor blades out there that only come in packs of 10 and we want to make sure you get to try them.
Dorco Titans are a Korean brand that are manufactured in Vietnam. They are exceptionally sharp blades that work best in a mild razor but have great longevity. We've found they can be quite harsh on the first couple of shave or two but then mellow out for a really comfortable shave after that. Last 4-8 shaves per blade.
